I was kind of surprised at the different levels of intrigue in this particular book。 I think this hit me differently than some of Piper Stone's other dark romances because Bristol actually consented to the situation。There were a number of other options that I think were available for her to choose， but the one with Houston， even after what happened in the bar， she made a conscious decision to pursue。 I thought the Powers family was interesting。 They were not quite as dark as I expected， and I re I was kind of surprised at the different levels of intrigue in this particular book。 I think this hit me differently than some of Piper Stone's other dark romances because Bristol actually consented to the situation。There were a number of other options that I think were available for her to choose， but the one with Houston， even after what happened in the bar， she made a conscious decision to pursue。 I thought the Powers family was interesting。 They were not quite as dark as I expected， and I realized I preferred them to the mafia families。 I hope Chase， Ashley， and Riley get their own books。I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received via Booksprout。 。。。more
